For some strange reason, my the topic of skincare has come up several times lately…at work as well as with friends. Most people are surprised to learn I have been using oil to clean my skin. I’m really not “crunchy”, but I read about the Oil Cleansing Method online and was intrigued.  I initially tried it with an olive oil and Castor Oil blend, but recently switched to a Castor Oil and Grape Seed Oil blend and think I like it better. I mix it up in advance and keep it in a Squeeze Bottle and it lasts for a while. I don’t think I’m following it down to the letter, but I love what I’m doing.  I basically heat up my water while rubbing the oil all over my face.  I then take a washcloth and run it under the hot water and put it on my face until it cools down.  I wipe off the residue with the same washcloth and go on about my merry way…it is so awesome and feels like a mini facial when I’m done.

P.S.  If you want to do it the “right” way or get tips about other oil combinations, be sure to check out the post I originally referenced.
